Levolution Released in Australia

The latest effort from our Aussie rockers was released today in Australia.  Juke Kartel unleashed Levolution on their homeland right in the middle of their Australian tour with Slash.

Juke Kartel Plays One Last Show Before OZ Tour

Our Aussie rockers, Juke Kartel, are performing in the US one last time before hitting the road for a few weeks in Australia.  The boys will be at The Viper Room in LA on Wednesday, August 4th at 8PM.  They will then be setting out for Australia in support of Slash for three dates, and then heading out on their own for a string of dates.

Carved CEO Gets HIS Boots On

Carved Records CEO Tim Porter got his boots on in a photo shoot to benefit The Boot Campaign.  Carved Records is proud to partner with The Boot Campaign, an organization dedicated to raising awareness surrounding troops returning home from duty.  They work hard to make people understand what it is like to be in the boots of our military.  Carved is proud to donate our time, energy, and photographs to this very worthwhile cause.

No Justice Set to Play Festival

No Justice is scheduled to appear at the 11th Annual Dwight Boeckman Music Festival on August 7th, 2010.  The festival, which takes place in Okeene, Oklahoma each and every year, will also feature the musical stylings of Trent Willmon, Mamma Sweet, and AA Bottom.  

There will be acoustic music all day with doors opening at 3pm.  Ice chests are allowed, and no glass will be permitted inside.  Camping will be allowed on the football field if needed.

Ticket buying information is soon to be announced.  Prices are as follows:

From 7/26 - 8/6 $20

No Justice News

The week has started out strong for No Justice with an increase on the Texas Country charts to #17.  After five weeks on the chart they are on track to crack the top ten very shortly! Congratulations to the boys!

No Justice was also featured in a new article in the Tulsa World. The feature calls the album "made to gallop into radio play charts and onto iPods everywhere. It’s buffed and gleaming, sparking with a genre-bending amalgam of contemporary country."  Read the full article here.

Texas Hippie Coalition Listening Party Information

Texas Hippie Coalition will be unleashing their new album Rollin' onto the world tomorrow, and they are celebrating the only way they know how - with a massive party at America's Pub in Oklahoma, City.  The event will be a special listening/CD release party where people will be able to hear the new album with the band and opportunities to meet the THC boys.  

Doors will open at 8pm with a $10 cover charge to get in which will also include a CD and a chance to get it signed by the band. 

If you are unable to attend the event, you can watch it streaming live on the web.  You can visit the bands Facebook site for an interactive viewing, where you can ask the band questions and chat live.  Or head on over to Ustream.com and watch the show from over there by simply clicking on the THC picture on the right side of the page.

Stillwater New Press has done a feature on No Justice and the new album for their web site.  The site features two acoustic performances of songs from the new album, "Love Song" and "Just Get Going", and an interview with vocalist Steve Rice.  In the interview, Rice talks about the upcoming Carved Records release and all things No Justice.  It's a fantastic way to get to know the band and see what they can do live!

THC Listening Party at America's Pub

We are very happy to announce there will be a Texas Hippie Coalition listening party happening on July 6th!  Carved Records along with THC will be releasing Rollin' the same day.  The party will be held at America's Pub in Oklahoma City, OK.  KATT radio will be on hand to host the event, which will include a live stream of the new album.  The band will be there to answer questions from fans and talk about all the stories behind the music.  

Facebook friends of the band will also be able to send the band question live at the event by utilizing the THC Facebook page.  The event will be streamed in its entirety on the web (site to be announced closer to show time) for those unable to attend.  This is the perfect opportunity for fans to get up close and personal with the band and get a look at the new album.

Admission is $10, but includes the new CD courtesy of Hastings and an opportunity to meet the band.  Doors open at 8pm and the album stream begins at 10pm.

New Independent Label, Carved Records, Opens Doors

 Diverse roster emerging following first Country artist signing, No Justice 

(Nashville, TN – Feb. 8, 2010) Dallas-based independent record label, Carved Records, has officially opened its doors for business and signed its second artist in just two months with the addition of Texas chart-toppers, No Justice.

Founded by entrepreneur and CEO Tim Porter in 2009, the Carved Records team is anchored by VP of Operations Phil Thomas (formerly of UMG Distribution/Fontana, RED Distribution) and Label Director Jenn Littleton (CO5 Music, former Sr. Marketing Director/A&R Geffen Records).

“Carved Records was founded with a mission to encourage artistic integrity and career longevity,” says Carved Records CEO Tim Porter.  “The Carved Records family has already signed two very unique and very diverse acts in No Justice and Texas Hippie Coalition, which is something that our label will continue to do in the pursuit of our creative vision.  Our intent is not to sign as many acts as we can, but to keep our roster manageable so that we can build careers with them.” 

The label’s first Country artist signing is No Justice, a five-piece band from Stillwater, Okla.  The group has enjoyed significant regional success and airplay in Oklahoma and Texas, playing more than 150 dates per year and landing numerous No. 1 singles on the Texas charts, including “Never Come Back” and “Don’t Walk Away.”

“No Justice is a band that has proven hit-making ability,” says Carved Records VP of Operations Phil Thomas.  “These guys have enjoyed great success regionally with multiple No. 1s, and we can’t think of a better act to introduce to Nashville and the rest of the nation than Carved Records’ first Country signing, No Justice.”

The No Justice team includes veteran Nashville artist manager Scott Welch of Scott Welch Management and veteran agent Jon Folk of Red 11 Music.

Dallas, TX- Carved Records is proud to announce its official launch as an independent record label along with the news of their first signing, Texas Hippie Coalition (or THC). The label has secured a partnership with MRI/RED Distribution and will be based in Dallas with a small team in Los Angeles.  The plan is to keep a small and focused roster of approximately four to five signings in the first year, with the initial release being the THC album in the spring of 2010.
Currently, Texas Hippie Coalition are in the studio recording their debut Carved Records album. They will be traveling to Southern California on January 14th-17th, to participate in the NAMM Convention. On Friday, January 15th, they will be performing at the DEAN GUITARS party at the Grove of Anaheim, with MC Vinnie Paul.

Although Texas Hippie Coalition is Carved Records inaugural band, they are no strangers to the music business. The band has spent the last few years touring in support of their self-released album “Pride of Texas”. They emerged from The Red River Valley that borders Northern Texas and Southern Oklahoma and ripped their way onto the metal scene with their dynamic live show, featuring the commanding stage presence of lead singer, Big Dad Ritch.
